Bart began his association with magnetic resonance imaging (then termed nuclear magnetic resonance imaging) shortly after he graduated from x-ray school in 1986. As a working MRI technologist for over 35 years he has accumulated extensive clinical experience on multiple vendor platforms (GE, FONAR, Toshiba, Phillips and Siemens). He currently works on a Siemens Vida 3.0T. 

He is currently employed at The Corvallis Clinic, PC located in Corvallis, Oregon. Besides his duties as an MRI Technologist he serves as the facilities MRI Safety Officer (MRSO).

 

His company, Voxel MR Resources LLC, currently has a consulting agreement with Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine for animal MRI services.

Bart also serves as an adjunct facility member teaching MRI Physics for:

• Portland Community College School of Allied Health MRI Program

• Arkansas State University Jonesboro
   

Most recently Bart has been consulting in legal matters involving standard of care, ethical and clinical issues.

Bart has been lecturing on local, state and national level for many years, specializing in the clinical aspects of MRI. Also a published author, Bart has most recently contributed to Merrill's Atlas of Radiographic Positioning (Elsiever)  and Comprehensive Radiographic Pathology (Mosby).

In addition to his wealth of clinical and administrative experience Bart has been active in his state (Oregon Society of Radiologic Technologists) and national (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) radiologic technologist professional societies serving in numerous capacities.
